Refund policy.

The short version

Every cake here is baked to order, so the rules are simple and honest: cancel free within 15 minutes of ordering; once preparation begins we cannot cancel; if we ever cancel, you are refunded in full without asking; and if something is genuinely wrong with what arrives, tell us within 24 hours with photos and we will put it right — a replacement, a voucher, or a refund.

This policy covers shop orders, custom cakes, scheduled orders and the Insider membership. It works alongside our Terms of use and Shipping Policy, and nothing in it limits your rights under Indian consumer protection law.

1. Cancelling within 15 minutes

You can cancel any order within 15 minutes of placing it, before dispatch, straight from your account — no questions, no fee. If you paid online, the refund goes back to your original payment method automatically. If it was a Cash on Delivery order and nothing has been paid, there is nothing to refund — the order is simply cancelled.

2. After that, the ovens take over

Magic Oven bakes everything to order. Shortly after the cancellation window closes, ingredients are weighed and your order enters the kitchen queue — which is why it can no longer be cancelled after that point. If something has genuinely gone wrong — a duplicate order, the wrong date — write to us immediately; if the bake has not actually started, we will do our best to help.

3. Custom orders and confirmed quotes

Custom cakes are made against a quote you confirm in your account, and confirming the quote is our signal to start — so a confirmed custom order cannot be cancelled. Advance and quote payments for custom orders are refundable only if we cancel or cannot fulfil the order. An unconfirmed or expired quote commits you to nothing and costs you nothing.

4. If we cancel or cannot fulfil

If we have to cancel for any reason — an ingredient lets us down, a kitchen problem, your address turning out to be beyond our delivery area — we refund everything you paid for that order, in full, without you needing to ask.

5. Quality issues: tell us within 24 hours

If an order arrives damaged, incorrect, or simply not as it should be, tell us within 24 hours of delivery or pickup, with photos of the item and its packaging. Write to contact@magicoven.co.in with your order number or Account ID. The photos matter: they let us see what you see, fix the root cause in the kitchen, and resolve your case quickly.

6. The remedies we offer

For genuine quality issues, we offer one of the following, at our discretion and sized to the problem:

  • A replacement — re-baked and re-delivered or held for pickup.
  • A voucher — credited to your account (vouchers are account-bound and may carry an expiry date).
  • A refund — partial or full, depending on the issue.

We are a small kitchen with a long memory for our regulars. If the mistake is ours, we fix it properly.

7. How and when refunds arrive

Refunds go to your original payment method and typically take 5–7 business days to appear, depending on your bank. We send a confirmation email the moment we process one. Cash on Delivery orders that have not been paid have nothing to refund; where a refund is agreed on an order paid in cash, we will arrange it with you directly.

8. Insider membership refunds

Insider membership is refundable pro-rata within 14 days of the charge, provided no perks have been used. Beyond 14 days there is no refund — but you can cancel renewal at any time and keep your perks until the end of the year you have paid for.
