Cookie & storage policy.

The short version

We keep this simple: the site stores only what it needs to work — your sign-in, your cart, and your cookie choice itself. There are no advertising trackers and no third-party cookies of any kind. Optional analytics are off unless you switch them on, and you can change your mind any time on this page.

1. What this covers

This policy lists every cookie and every piece of browser storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) that magicoven.co.in uses, what each one is for, and how long it lives. It supplements our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data more broadly.

2. Strictly necessary storage

These exist so the shop can function — signing in, keeping a cart, remembering your consent choice. Under Indian (DPDP Act) and international (GDPR/ePrivacy) rules they do not require opt-in consent, but you deserve to know about them:

Session cookies (better-auth)
Keep you signed in securely (HttpOnly, SameSite, Secure in production). Cleared when you sign out; otherwise expire after 30 days.
mo:cart (localStorage)
Your shopping cart, stored only in your browser. Stays until you clear it.
mo:consent (localStorage)
Remembers the choice you make on the cookie banner, with a timestamp.
mo:scheduledFor (sessionStorage)
The delivery date you pick when scheduling an order — lives only for the current tab session and is cleared after checkout.
mo:privacy (localStorage)
Your in-account privacy preferences, stored locally.

3. Optional analytics

Today, no analytics run on this site at all. If we ever introduce privacy-respecting usage analytics (to learn which pages help customers most), they will load only after you have opted in via the cookie banner, and switching them off here will stop them immediately. We will never add advertising trackers or sell usage data. Separately from cookies: when you shop signed in, we keep first-party personalisation signals — which products you view, add to cart, and order — stored with your account on our own server to power recommendations like “Picked for you”; they are never shared with anyone and are deleted with your account.

4. Your choices and how to change them

You can re-open the consent banner and change your choice at any time — your most recent decision is the one that counts:

You can also clear everything we store from your browser settings (look for “Clear browsing data” / “Manage website data”). Clearing storage signs you out and empties your cart; the site keeps working.
